If you have not already completed a pre-admission form, you will be asked to complete admission details which will be discussed with an interviewing officer. If you are unable to give this information when admitted, an interviewing officer will come to your ward at a suitable time.
A bracelet identification band will be issued to you on completion of your admission. Please check that details on the nameband are accurate and wear it throughout your stay in hospital.
Please ensure you have the following with you:
- Any X-rays
- Medications you are taking (including minerals/vitamins/natural therapies)
- Blood test results
- ECG results
- Letters from your referring doctor or GP
Valuables
For security purposes, valuable items and large amounts of cash should not be brought to the hospital. Should you have concerns in this regard, please consult the Nurse Unit Manager.
PLEASE NOTE: The hospital cannot accept responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, any property you choose to keep at your bedside. Do not forget to collect your personal effects before you leave.
Visiting Hours
Routine visiting hours are between 11:00am to 8:00pm. To assist in patient recovery, a quiet period is recommended between 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Should you wish to visit outside these hours, please notify the sister in charge. Intensive Care visiting hours are between 11:00am to 1:00pm and 3:00pm to 8:00pm. |
